It may give you more options on the consulting practice you are assigned to. When I joined Booz Allen w/o an MBA, I was assigned to the Government Systems Division, although I didn’t have that much interest in computers. I had developed good contacts in the systems division, but often felt I would have done even better in another division. An MBA would have given me more practice options.
